STAR Showcase – Quebec Provincial Drama Festival will be an English language one-act play festival for high school drama programs across the province of Quebec. STAR stands for School Theatrical Arts Recognition and recognition of excellence is exactly what the theatre productions across Quebec will receive each year through this exciting new program!

Omari Newton
Omari Newton is a Montreal-born Canadian award-winning actor, writer, director and educator known for his work in film, television, and theatre, including the critically acclaimed Hip Hop theatre piece Sal Capone and voice work as the Black Panther in animated projects. He also has extensive experience as a corporate coach, simulator, and public speaker, focusing on topics like creativity, social justice, and risk-taking. Newton is also a senior instructor at the Vancouver Film School and a teaching artist for the Arts Alive program.
